Energy through Nutrition
Feel better both mentally and
physically
"You are what you eat". How many times have you heard this?
Well, whilst there are many factors that affect our health overall, here you'll learn about why applied nutrition may be the first point of call for you.
Sometimes it's the simple little things that we forget about that can make a difference, whilst other times we need to look more closely at what we consume in our diet that might be influencing the decline of our health. By following a nutritional plan that is tailored to you, applied nutrition can help to make a significant difference in how you feel, both physically and mentally.
It can help you to increase both your energy and resistance to stress. It can help you to deal with sensitivities whether food based or otherwise. It can help you to reduce symptoms of specific health issues such as asthma and eczema or any of the
listed conditions below. A nutritional development programme involving simple changes to your diet and using supplements, when appropriate, can help you to re-balance your body for the best possible outcome.
According to Dr. Linus Pauling, winner of two Nobel Prizes, “You can trace every sickness, every disease and every ailment to a mineral deficiency”.
Medical science supports Pauling’s statement with numerous discoveries linking mineral deficiencies to ailments such as – osteoporosis, heart and liver disease, anaemia and congenital birth defects.

So what does a consultation involve?
For a comprehensive nutritional analysis to be undertaken, we will complete a detailed questionnaire at the first appointment and then you will be asked to keep a diary of what you eat and drink for 5 days and also take a couple of simple cost-free tests at home.
An initial consultation will then provide you with:
-
a full assessment report, with a review of how your diet and lifestyle is affecting you
-
a review on symptoms of recognisable nutrient deficiencies
-
recommendations on specific tests, if applicable i.e. food intolerance
-
recommendations on your diet and supplement programme
Follow-up consultations allow for a review of your progress and any adjustments that need to be made to your
programme.
How long is my appointment?
Initial consultations and treatments can take up to 1½ hrs with follow-up appointments of up to 30 mins.
Number of appointments required and response time to treatment will vary due to a number of factors including lifestyle, age and current level of health.
What if I'm on medication?
Since your programme will be unique to you, medication and any other treatment you may currently be having, will be taken into consideration – working together with your programme(s), so that you can benefit from the best possible results.
What about children?
Children are equally, if not more so, affected by the foods and drink they consume. We hear more and more these days of conditions such as asthma and eczema, food allergies and intolerances, as well as problems such as ADD/ADHD.
So a nutritional assessment and development programme for a child is just as important and in many cases shows a much quicker response.
